Putnam County Wine & Food Fest is pleased to announce in their quest for youth friendly outreach they’ve gained partnership with non-profit organizations: Green Chimneys, is recognized as a worldwide leader in animal-assisted therapy and educational activities for children with special needs. and the Children’s Tumor Foundation, the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to driving research, expanding knowledge, and advancing care for the NF community.

While the event is a private, for profit event, Putnam County Wine & Food Fest partners with local charities, affording them the opportunity to use a code to receive 60% of all sales tracked to each charity’s code!

Approaching their 7th year on August 12-13, 2017, acclaimed film/TV actor, Antonio Fargas, will host the festival, which will take place Saturday, August 12 (11am until 6pm) and Sunday, August 13 (11am until 5pm), 2017 at Iron & Wine Restaurant and Westview Golf Driving Range, 3191 Route 22, Patterson, NY 12563.

The annual festival will feature cider/wine/spirits tastings, high-spirited cooking workshops, live entertainment, and fascinating mixology demonstrations. With seasoned culinary professionals on hand, fresh produce, and locally crafted brews, the region’s agri-business becomes the heart of the event. This year the 2017 Festival will expand with activities for youth with the inclusion of arts and crafts, in addition to many local and international artists and celebrities set to join in on the fun. Musically, there is something for all, with genres ranging between pop, country, R&B, and Reggae.

The focus is to also tap into increasing the attendees to include more of the local community itself. With this family-friendly experience, all are encouraged to come and connect with, be educated about, and support the plethora of cultures represented in the food, music, and art in this community. The festival contributes not just to the community’s economic growth, but builds tourism while benefiting local charities with gracious donations. The first 500 guests to register will be entered for a pair of tickets to a special dinner with acclaimed film/TV actor Antonio Fargas (Starsky & Hutch, Everybody Hates Chris). The festival welcomes authors, vendors, business owners to go online and register early!
